ZiXu Delivers Custom Pneumatic Dot Peen Marker for Tricycle Frame Identification

ZiXu recently delivered a purpose-built pneumatic dot peen marking machine to a tricycle manufacturing customer and completed onsite setup at the customer’s factory. The application focused on permanent identification for welded tricycle frame tubes, where reliable positioning and fast clamping are just as important as the marking head itself.
Before this delivery, the customer had tried machines from several other brands, but none of them fully met the actual production requirement. The main difficulty was not only making a visible mark on the steel frame. The machine also needed to sit steadily on the curved and welded tube area, clamp the part quickly, and keep the marking position consistent during repeated use.
Customer Requirement: Stable Marking on Tricycle Frames
The tricycle frames at the customer site are produced in batches, with many similar welded structures waiting for identification. In this kind of workshop, operators need a marking solution that can be moved to the workpiece, positioned easily, and locked in place without a complicated fixture change for every frame.


ZiXu reviewed the frame shape and the customer’s working method, then supplied a dedicated pneumatic dot peen marker with a cylinder clamping fixture. The goal was simple: the operator should be able to place the machine on the marking area, clamp the frame securely, run the marking program, and move on to the next workpiece with minimal adjustment.
Dedicated Cylinder Clamping Fixture
The delivered machine uses a custom mechanical structure with pneumatic cylinder clamping. Compared with ordinary handheld positioning, this fixture helps the marking head stay stable on the tricycle frame tube during impact marking. That is especially important for dot peen marking because the needle repeatedly strikes the metal surface and any looseness can reduce mark consistency.

During onsite delivery, ZiXu engineers adjusted the fixture position together with the customer’s team and checked the clamping contact on the actual frame. This helped confirm that the machine could lock onto the target area and maintain the marking position during normal operation.


Onsite Test and Customer Acceptance
After positioning and clamping were confirmed, the team completed the onsite marking test on the customer’s tricycle frame. The marking result was clear and permanent on the steel tube surface, and the customer was satisfied with both the machine structure and the practical operating process.
