Pulsed Laser Cleaning Machine Draws a Crowd at the 140th Canton Fair
Guangzhou, China — October 2026 — At the 140th Canton Fair, the busiest spot in the ZIXU Intelligent booth wasn't a display stand — it was a patch of carpet. Buyers formed a tight semicircle around a technician holding a laser cleaning gun, phones raised to record every pass as rust lifted off a curved metal part and a bright, bare surface emerged underneath.
The machine drawing the crowd was ZIXU's pulsed laser cleaning machine. Instead of chemicals, abrasive blasting or grinding wheels, it strips rust, oxide, oil and coatings with a pulsed laser beam — no contact, no consumables, and no damage to the base material.

What kept visitors standing was the speed of the proof. Within seconds of the technician's first pass, the workpiece — a curved, rusted metal strip — showed a clear before-and-after line on the same part. Buyers leaned in to check the edge between the cleaned and uncleaned zones, asked about surface roughness and heat effect, and many stayed to watch a second and third pass.

Before and after on the same workpiece — rust on one side, bare bright metal on the other.

Within a single afternoon, the demonstration drew a steady rotation of visitors from different countries, several of whom recorded video to share with colleagues back home. For many, it was their first close-up look at laser cleaning in action rather than in a catalogue.

Why Laser Cleaning Gets Attention on the Show Floor
Laser cleaning has become one of the fastest-growing requests in industrial maintenance, and the reasons are visible in a live demo: no chemical waste or slurry to handle, no abrasive media to buy, no mechanical stress on the workpiece, and the ability to clean a precise area — or an entire surface — without dismantling the part. For industries such as molds, welding preparation, pipe and flange maintenance, and cultural-relic or precision-part restoration, that combination solves problems that chemicals and grinding cannot.
The units shown at the fair are part of ZIXU's complete laser line — pulsed laser cleaning, fiber/UV/CO₂ laser marking, and laser welding — manufactured together with parent company Chongqing Zixu Machine Works, whose engineering goes back to 2006. Core components such as control systems and marking pins are developed in-house, and every machine completes a six-step production process ending in machine-by-machine testing before shipment.
Try It On Your Own Parts
ZIXU offers free sample cleaning tests year-round: send us a rusted, coated or contaminated workpiece and our process laboratory will return cleaned samples, photos and recommended parameters — before you commit to a machine.
