Portable Handheld Pneumatic Dot Peen Marking Machine
A handheld pneumatic dot peen marking machine that presses a 0.01-1 mm deep mark into gas cylinders, pressure vessels and steel parts – 8 kg, held in one hand, marked where the part already stands.

Just 8 kg, with a balanced grip and thumb-accessible controls for easy one-person operation.
Up to 300 impacts/s and adjustable 0.01–1 mm depth for precise, repeatable marks.
Marks cylinders, flanges, valves and other metal parts without dedicated fixtures or lengthy setup.
The ZIXU handheld pneumatic dot peen marking machine is built for parts that cannot come to a machine. Compressed air drives a hardened pin at 300 impacts per second, pressing a mark from 0.01 to 1 mm deep, set by the material – deep enough that the data is carried by the metal rather than sitting on its surface, so serial numbers, test dates and working pressure survive shot blasting, priming, repainting and years outdoors.
At 8 kg the head is carried to the part: gas cylinder collars and shoulders, pressure vessel shells, machined flanges and valve bodies, moulds, tubular frames, structural plates and equipment nameplates. Single-hand and two-hand grips cover marking areas from 80 x 40 mm to 140 x 80 mm.
Power is 350 W on single-phase 220 V. There is no laser source, no chiller and no laser safety classification – the marking pin is the only regular consumable. Typical users are cylinder filling and requalification plants, pressure vessel and fire-extinguisher manufacturers, steel fabricators and equipment rebuilders. Send the material and wall thickness, the data to be marked and the area you need, and we confirm depth and cycle time.

Features

High Precision
The hardened pin repeats to ≤ 0.01 mm, so the last mark of a batch lands exactly where the first one did – multi-line data, serial numbers and linear barcodes stay aligned and machine-readable after repainting. 300 impacts per second keeps the cycle short even on thick cylinder steel, so precision does not cost speed.
Precise Positioning
The workpiece stops against the adjustable fence and the head works on a fixed axis: the operator sets the part once and marks. No layout scribing, no trial marks on the workpiece, no second pass to correct a crooked line – the first part of the shift and the five-hundredth land in the same place.

High-Speed Touchscreen
The controller reads the marking file straight from USB – drawing import, automatic serial-number editing, linear codes – and starts from the touchscreen. No PC, no software licence and no marking software on the shop floor, which is what keeps the unit usable beside a blasting booth or a filling line where a laptop would not survive a week.
Handheld Design
At 8 kg the head is carried in one hand to the part: the grip sits in the palm, the balance keeps the pin square to a curved cylinder wall, and marking happens where the workpiece already stands. No crane, no lifting fixture, no second operator holding the part.

Four items make up the system, and only the first is lifted by the operator. The head carries the pin and is held against the workpiece; the controller stays outside the impact zone; the air regulator/filter sits between the compressor and the head.
| # | Component | Function |
| 1 | Handheld marking head | Carries the marking pin and the grip – 8 kg, in single-hand, single-handle and two-hand configurations |
| 2 | Marking pin | Hardened pin driven by compressed air; the only regular consumable |
| 3 | Controller | Standalone control unit; stores and runs marking files, no external PC required |
| 4 | Air regulator / filter | Sets and displays supply pressure to the head; |
