3D Dynamic Focus UV Laser Marker for Glass & Ceramic
A desktop UV marker whose focus moves: a 3D galvo drives the focal point along Z, so curved, stepped and odd-shaped parts mark evenly in one clamp. 355 nm cold process, 200-400 mm area, 5 / 10 / 20 W.

600 cps writing speed and 6000 mm/s marking speed deliver fine micro-text, dense QR codes and sharp logos for reliable code readability.
Repeatability within 8 μrad and drift below 0.5 mrad over eight hours ensure consistent marking accuracy with minimal recalibration.
3D path planning and focus compensation support curved surfaces. Choose 200 × 200, 300 × 300 or 400 × 400 mm fields, with custom sizes available.
This machine moves the focus, not just the spot. A Sino-Galvo FL-3D-7210 drives the focal point along Z while marking, so a part that runs from an arc into a slope and up a step keeps the same spot size and the same depth from one end to the other – something a fixed-focus 2D head cannot do, where the edge always goes soft. Linearity of 99.9%, repeatability better than 8 uRad and drift under 0.5 mRad across eight hours are what ‘consistent across the whole curve’ is built on.
The 355 nm source works cold: photons break the surface bonds and material leaves as molecules rather than being melted and then vaporised, so glass, ceramics, heat-sensitive plastics, thin film and FPC come out without a burnt edge, yellowing or warp – the three failures fiber and CO2 produce most often on those substrates. The field is 200×200, 300×300 or 400×400 mm to order, the source is 5, 10 or 20 W, the software is MM3D, and the supply is 110 V 60 Hz or 220 V 50 Hz.

Features

The galvo: a 3D dynamic-focus head, not a plain scanner
The machine runs a Sino-Galvo FL-3D-7210 with Z-axis dynamic focusing. The focal point advances along Z while marking, so a part running from an arc into a step keeps the same spot size and the same depth all the way. Specified at 99.9% linearity, repeatability inside 8 uRad, drift under 0.5 mRad across eight hours and tracking error within 138 us.
The source: the heart of the machine, and what sets life and stability
A 355 nm UV source in 5, 10 or 20 W, fully sealed, water cooled. UV is one of the most temperature-sensitive laser devices made: only a solid source and a solid cooling path keep output power steady, and only steady power keeps mark depth from drifting over a shift.

The control card: industrial grade, because interference decides uptime
The main board is not a cheap plug-in card; every lead is crimped into a terminal and the interfaces are shielded. A workshop is full of inverters, servos and big motors throwing electromagnetic noise, and a board that cannot take it drops the connection, glitches the display or hangs. A job that stops halfway costs far more than the difference in board price.
The field lens: spot size and edge quality live in this one element
The field lens sets the working area, the spot size and how consistent the whole field is. Take the same 20 W source and fit a low-transmission, poorly figured lens and the centre still looks fine while the corners go soft and lose energy. Fields come in 200×200, 300×300 and 400×400 mm, and lens and field must be chosen as a pair – a 200 mm lens cannot be stretched over a 400 mm field.

Wiring: straight runs halve the service time
Inside the cabinet, power and signal run as separate bundles: straight, parallel, tied at even spacing, every lead crimped into a ferrule, and ground taken to its own copper bar with green-yellow all the way. Cables that never cross or kink are cables that do not age into a short.
Software: MM3D plans the curve before the beam fires
MM3D 3D Professional is the control system: import artwork or a model, plan the path along the surface, compensate focus by height and save it as a template for batch use – with flat work laid out in the same window. The stepped-and-domed model in the frame is the actual planning interface.

Material Compatibility
| Group | Materials | Note |
| Transparent and brittle | Glass, quartz glass, ceramics, electronic ceramics, glazed tile, marble and granite | No micro-crack band; curved glass and domed ceramic are exactly what 3D buys you |
| Transparent and brittle | ★ Crystal and gemstone (including sub-surface engraving), ★ sapphire and optical crystal | Fiber and CO2 both fail; UV is the only option |
| Electronics | ★ Silicon wafer, ★ IC package, PCB/FPC, components, cable, keypads, battery shells | QR plus micro-text on FPC and PCB is the volume job; profiled FPC needs the 3D head |
| Metals | Stainless, carbon steel, alloy steel, cast iron, aluminium, copper, galvanised sheet, titanium, magnesium, precious metals, plated parts, foil under 0.5 mm, hardware, medical UDI | Shallow marking through surface change; choose fiber for deep engraving |
| Polymers and film | Acrylic, TPU/TPE, EVA/EPE foam, PTFE coating, carbon fibre, paint and coatings (removal type) | No carbonisation on heat-sensitive plastics; stepped plastic housings are a classic 3D part |
| Organic and fibre | Leather, PU/PVC leather, fabric, denim, non-woven, paper and board, corrugated, labels, wood and MDF, bamboo, food and eggshell | Markable, but CO2 is cheaper; UV wins on short runs or where burnt edges are unacceptable |
