Say Goodbye to Carbon Deposit Scrap Loss – Jialing Group Introduces Laser Cleaning to Protect Molds
Jialing Group is a pioneer and symbol of China’s motorcycle industry. As one of the leading enterprises in the domestic motorcycle industry, Jialing Group has always been committed to optimizing production processes, improving product quality, and actively introducing innovative technologies to address challenges in manufacturing. In the field of engine manufacturing, the group particularly focuses on precision machining of core components and mold maintenance to ensure production efficiency and product consistency, meeting market demand for high-performance motorcycles.

On Jialing Group’s production line, motorcycle engine components are manufactured using a stamped aluminum process, which relies on high-precision molds. However, due to long-term use, stubborn carbon deposits gradually accumulated inside the molds, causing surface defects on the die-cast products and seriously affecting the appearance and performance of the components. Although the production team conducted regular inspections, a sudden carbon deposit issue was not detected in time, resulting in the scrapping of an entire batch of stamped aluminum engine components. The direct economic loss reached several thousand RMB, not only delaying production progress but also exposing the limitations of traditional maintenance methods.

For mold carbon deposit issues, Jialing Group had been using high-pressure nitrogen flushing combined with manual cleaning. Although this method can remove surface dirt, it often has limited effectiveness on carbon deposits in deep or subtle areas of the mold, and relies on operator experience – it is inefficient and carries the risk of incomplete cleaning. More critically, the carbon deposit problem tends to recur with traditional methods, leading to production interruptions and resource waste. This prompted Jialing Group to seek a more reliable solution to improve mold maintenance standards.

To solve the mold carbon deposit problem, Jialing Group contacted us for an on-site cleaning test. We used an advanced laser cleaning machine to instantly vaporize carbon deposits on the mold surface with a laser beam, achieving deep cleaning without contacting the mold and without damaging the mold substrate. Jialing Group plans to purchase multiple laser cleaning machines and integrate them into the production line for regular mold maintenance and emergency cleaning tasks.
