We conducted sample pneumatic scribing and dot peen marking for an automobile manufacturer in Anhui Province, China. The customer wanted to mark products after welding and asked us to provide samples to help them choose between a scribing machine and a pneumatic dot peen marking machine. The customer needs to purchase a large number of machines; however, the engineering and process departments have not yet determined the deployment plan and machine requirements.

Scribing systems are usually used on frames and key components of a limited number of executive and luxury automobile brands and models to provide fine, aesthetically pleasing markings and achieve markings that are difficult to replicate with traditional pneumatic dot peen marking or laser marking. The customer needs this system, but given the large number of vehicles to be marked, they are currently considering which price points and models are more suitable for marking with a scribing system.
 
In recent months, we have received many prototype requests from Chinese automobile and special engineering machinery brands, some of which had previously used scribing systems from Italy, France, and the United States. These traditional scribing machine brands are technologically strong, with high levels of automation, design, and deployment, but we still have advantages in overall solution cost, scribing needle cost, and the supply efficiency of needles and other spare parts. Now that marking systems have been delivered to many Chinese new energy luxury automobile brands, it is only a matter of time before our marking quality is experienced up close and in a personalized way.
