Which materials are suitable for laser cutting and engraving marking

Metal sheet: YAG high precision laser pumped by lamp is mainly used for high precision cutting and punching of stainless steel plate, carbon steel, iron plate, aluminium plate, copper plate and sheet metal in mobile phones, digital products, automobiles and motorcycles.

1. Carbon steel cutting:
Modern laser cutting system can cut carbon steel plate with a maximum thickness of nearly 20 mm, and the slit of thin plate can be narrowed to about 0.1 mm. Laser cutting of low carbon steel has very small heat-affected zone, smooth cut-off and good verticality. For high carbon steel, the cutting quality of laser cutting is better than that of low carbon steel, but its heat affected zone is larger.

2. Stainless steel cutting:
Metal laser cutting machine is easier to cut stainless steel plate. High power YAG laser cutting system can precisely cut stainless steel.
3. Alloy steel plate cutting:
Most alloy steels can be cut by laser with good cutting quality. But for tool steels and hot die steels with high tungsten content, there will be erosion and slag sticking during laser cutting.
4. Cutting of aluminium and alloy sheets:
Aluminum cutting belongs to melting cutting. It can obtain better cutting surface quality by blowing away the melt in the cutting area with auxiliary gas.
5. Cutting other metal materials:
Copper is not suitable for laser cutting. It is very thin. Most of titanium, titanium and nickel alloys can be cut by laser.
